I have just had a wonderful surprise from Australia, I contacted a 'Hot Match' with regard to a previously unknown brother of my Grandmother, a little boy born in 1880 and died in 1883 - name of Albert Church. Having researched for more that 25 years this had only just come to light from Parish Records. It seems Albert's mother, who was my great grandmother was great aunt to Alan in Australia, his response to my information about Albert etc. was the first positive connection I have found to my research on the Church family of Abingdon outside my own immediate family. So exciting, I can now expand my tree in all kinds of directions with aids offered by yourself and by the 1837 online site, it is amazing - well done to you all for making this possible. |
