It is all because of Genes Reunited that I am now in touch with several members of my birth family.... two years ago my grandson told me to buy a computer so that my idea of researching my Family Tree could be made easier... He helped me with the computer side as I had never even switched one on before.... Two days after buying it I registered with Genes Reunited and got my first contact... the daughter in law of my first cousin... in Australia!!! I couldn't believe it!! When , after a few e.mails, it came about that all four of my uncles (my mothers brother) were still alive and all in Australia, we started to 'talk' on msn and then 'skype' which we do now regularly. I even went over to Australia where I met extended family and had a ball!! They are also very interested in the Tree and since then I have found loads of second cousins and other rellies... All, or most of them come from the same place as my Walmsleys originated from... Ormskirk. So, Kathleen, Eileen, James, Angela and all of you other Walmsleys and descendents... lovely to meet you and hope we can all meet one day!! Anne:))) |
