Since joining genes reunited I have been contacted by three cousins that I have never met before. I have been to meet one of them already. I have traced my father's family back to Scotland in the early 1700's, seen photos of my great uncles that I never knew existed and found out that my gandfather was actually born in Ireland. On my mother's side of the family I have gone back to the late 1700's, have got so much information that I have had to buy big folders to put it all in, learn't all about some of my ancestors that emigrated to Australia in 1884. I have read and shared with others, my great great grandfather's diary of his seven week voyage out to Rockhampton in Queensland. I correspond regularly with distant relations out there and have joined a family history society in Queensland. I have met helpful and wonderful people and have a whole new group of friends. All this because of joining genes reunited ! Thanks for everything, you are all great. Christine.
