found several relatives i never knew i had. traced my tree back to 1667 and the dutch invasion of the river medway. my ancestor was senior officer to a group that was landed at garrison point sheerness and captured the dockyard.evidently the only people harmed was when two cannon fired on the dutch fleet, both cannon blew up killing four men.when the fleet left the crew that landed were forgotten and left behind. now how do i trace his family in holland now that i've been told that i have no relatives of my name left in holland.i'll have to go to holland and find out for myself. |
