I managed to find my great grandfathers family, relatively easy, We hit a brick wall when it came to my great grandmothers as we didnt have her name and she was from New Zealand, she died in approx 1927 and her husband moved back to the UK with the children. After a few weeks of hitting brick walls, there was a hot match who had 6 people the same as me. Turns out that the lady who had the other tree is a distant cousin and was able to provide the name of my great grandmother, she even sent us a picture of an elderly couple who was my great great grandparents and it was the same picture that my mum had at home. The other names on her tree matched the names and places in letters that my mum had kept from her mother that was sent to her. |
