My grandmother FLORENCE ELIZA BOGG had a dearly beloved brother ALBERT BOGG who died Armistice Day 11th November,1918. R/33386 18th Bn. King's Royal Rifle Corps. He was 26 years old and had been married only two years. He is on the commonwealth Graves site. My grandmother wrote to his widow Winifred Bogg nee Nainby for many years and then Albert Bogg and Winifred Bogg's daughter Joyce Bogg until my grandmother's death in 1972. Then the two families lost touch! I took up genealogy two years ago and joined Genes Reunited but still couldn't find a connnection with Albert Bogg's family. That is until two weeks before Christmas 2005 when I had an email through Genes Reunited from Sharon Williams! She is my second cousin and the grand daughter of Albert Bogg! Her daughter had emigrated to Australia and that is why she got on the internet and from there to Friends Reunited and then Genes Reunited. I was overjoyed and so was she! I sent her a lovely photo of Albert and Winifred Bogg's wedding which she had never seen! She sent me one of Winfred and her two children Joyce and Terrance. Both beautiful professional photos! Also a photo of my grandparents I had never seen! The reason why I had had trouble tracing Winifred was that she had remarried twice more and we didn't know the name of daughter Joyce's husband. We have been swopping emails and photos and phone calls ever since! She is hoping to come and visit me here in Devon this summer with her husband! I am sure her grandfather and my grandmother are watching us from above, very pleased with the result! Best wishes Frances Lee
