I began searching for my Grandfather's family with only his name, birth date and address where he was born. With this information and no prior genealogy experience I have found both sides of his family and living relatives! I was able to do this with assistance from helpful, generous people in government institutions and internet sites such as this one. Thank you! Our family has went from not knowing anything about his early life in England to discovering he was born out of wedlock to a Mother who died when he was still an infant. We have also learned he was placed with the Waifs and Strays Society and later became one of the British Home Children sent to Canada. Don't lose hope, finding where you come from and connecting are great! Happy Hunting, S.Michelle, USA |
