Hi I have been a member of GEnes from september had been trying to trace an Aunt of my fathers who married an Australian soldier in 1919 and gone to Australia. My father had been in contact with son from this marriage up until the 2ww lost contact, my Dad is Approaching 80, I put a trying to find plea out on Genes and a lady called Diane took up the quest she being in Aus, she had info that I had given her, after various emails, and going on the computer early October an Email was Flashing at me with RALPH found, talk about nearly falling off the computer there it was an email from Ralph not just an email but a little video as well Ralph is 85, this was the first time my Dad had seen and heard his voice in 80 years, we are in regular contact with Ralph now and his family. I also have a new friend Diane, Couldn't have done it without Genes We found out that the Aunt had known Ralphs father in England and that he had gone to Aus when he 16 Thank you to Genes Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to every one on Genes Re-united Best wishes from Anne |
