I had dabbled on other sites to track down family, had success with BG site placing names and dates. But to actually find and communicate with living and breathing family members is incredible! I'd only met a few of my grandparent's siblings, they've long since passed on, unfortunately didn't meet anyone from the next generations. (Know that SOME of my cousins were under the gross misconception that all of Canada was a vast wasteland, we lived in log cabin shacks, no indoor plumbing/electricity and it was always snowing! Hope the British education system has upgraded it's geography/history books!!) Thanks 'GR' - I knew I had a lot of relatives out there, thanks for helping me connect with them! |
