Thanks to Genesreunited I have found part of my grandfathers family on my mothers side. his brother Edwards family, for years I knew nothing of it, but after I had much luck looking into my fathers side . I thought I would start looking into my mothers, never dreaming I would have any luck, After my mother died in the war, my grandparents raised me, when my father came out of the army I went to live with him and his 2nd wife, but still kept close ties with my grandparents, I came to the US in 59, never having a picture of my grandparents, when I got into contact with William Reads brother Edward Reads family, the first thing I received was a picture of my grandfather, I sat and cried, thanks to Genesreunited I now have a picture of my grandfather I can give my son, Hope now I can find family members of my grandmother who may have a picture of her.
