Thankyou, G.R, I had only been using the site for a week or so. I had my Paternal grandmother's Family Bible with birth dates only, so decided to fill in some gaps - marriages etc. In doing this I got to looking for my Maternal grandmother with no luck. A G.R member suggested a name to me as someone who had a huge amount of info on this particular family name and I have found a first cousin in Canada with the details back to 1659 and we haven't stopped talking yet. He was able to tell me that my maternal grandmother was born in Ceylon, and that is why I couldn't find her. We also have heaps of catching up to do, and he has put me in touch with some cousins (fifth and sixth cousins) in the U.K. Although our relations are scattered worldwide.Thankyou once again, with a special thanks to Dean who put me in touch.
