I have a success story to report. I was adopted as a baby in 1957 and never knew my blood family at all. Nor was I ever told anything about them other than my parents names. I was never told why I came to be adopted in the first place. In recent years I have made several attempts to trace my family but without success. On the 23rd September this year I made contact with a family member via genes reunited in response to a message which they had posted on the site on 15th September. Apparently they had also been searching for me for several years. I now have my full family history and also nine brothers and sisters. It is truly wonderful if a little mind blowing. It is the stuff that dreams are made of and I hope it will perhaps give inspiration to others in a similar predicament.....Carol. |
