Three years ago my daughter - knowing of the years I've spent researching my family tree - advised me of the existence of Genes Connected. I registered, out of minor interest, and added a tree of a mere nine people; then I more or less forgot about the Web site. Last week I was contacted by a lady who turned out to be a third cousin, once removed, and who had a wealth of information about other relatives. Inspired, I upgraded my membership and uploaded a Gedcom of my entire family tree and, almost instantly, I was contacted by another lady - a third cousin on a different branch of the tree from my first contact - who had yet more information. My family tree has grown by about seventy people in a few days!
