I am so pleased to say that I found 3 distant cousins living in Australia through Genes site!! I been here for god knows how long!!! I have been researching my family tree going back to 1807 for 7 months, its slowly building up and my family tree is growing! My distant cousin just joined in this site few weeks ago on same day that she found my advert on searching for the Castree family!!! The reason why I researched my family tree because I was convinced that the deafness ran in the family as my youngest daughter was born deaf few months ago on Boxing Day. I am also deaf as well. I just needed to know if there's any deafness in the family tree to confirm it is in genes, which is!!!! Its really amazing! There were deaf relatives going back to 1807!!! One of my distant cousin turned out to be deaf! Its really wonderful!! To members, don't give up on your researches on your family trees, it will be worth it in the end! I know its very difficult that many people dont reply to your messages, as It happened to me too as when I messaged people about their families, they never replied straight away, but they usually replied few weeks later not realising that they got messages. They did not expect to hear from any of us about their relatives, maybe they been in here for a long time and gave up in the end and not expecting to hear from any of us. So all thanks to Genesreunited! I am keeping on researching on my family tree as I know there are many of cousins and relatives out there somewhere. Mainly Ireland and London. |
