I started on my Father's line three years ago and have just completed back as far as before 1539. I have found it totally obsessive and have put in more hours than I could record. I have used all the Genealogical Sites, but Genes Reunited is by far the best in my opinion. I have had so much help and kindness from other Researchers, and would like to mention in particular the great assistance from David Weston in Canada and his Thurlow One Name Study Group. If you feel dispirited don't give up. You will find help out there. Good Luck. PS. I am now off to do some DIY work to repair all the holes in my wall caused by constant 'Head Banging' Don. |
