I noticed the Hot matches thing for the first time and thought I would give it a go. Little did I know that I would find people on three different parts of my family tree. I found a cousin on my mum's side of the family, a distant relative on my husbands side of the family and my dads little brother who I haven't seen for over 10 years! Thank you genes reunited! Now all I have to find is the Scottish 'McDonald' relatives - who knew that having a common surname would actually be harder to trace! :)
