From knowing nothing about my family history, I have now traced two branches of my family back to the early 1700's. I never realised just how diverse a family tree could be!! Several of the males lost wives at a young age, remarried, had more children, lost children at a young age, died leaving pregnant wives etc. Tracing your family history is like a big jigsaw puzzle - you find a piece that looks like it fits but you can't be quite sure until you've looked at the pieces around it!! It is certainly challenging but, at the same time, so rewarding. Here's to fitting in more pieces of the puzzle, solving more problems and finding more living, if somewhat distant, relatives!!!!
