I have been trying for at least 25 years to find my birth family.I found out my Mother had died a few years ago,but I found one of her sisters.I knew I had 4 brothers but unfortunately,my aunt could not help.I knew that we had all been taken into care when we were small.I tried everything I could think of and then a few months ago I registered with Genes Reunited.Last week I found out,purely by chance,that one of my brothers had a different surname to me at birth.I put this name into Genes and it came up with a name.I sent him a message,not really thinking that after all this time that it would be him,but I had a message back the next day telling me I was his sister who he had also been looking for for a long time.And Luckily 3 of my brothers had actually been kept together and so I could not believe I had found one,let alone three.I have since met two of them and am meeting the third one next week.I have spoken to him on the phone.If it was;nt for Genes Reunited I would never have found them.It is brilliant.I cannot express how grateful I am.By the way,My brothers are fantastic
