HALLIDAY - looking for the Halliday relatives of my maternal grandmother Mary Ann Swinney (nee Halliday) - she had sisters Catherine (c1888), Harriet (c1883), Elizabeth Jane (c1881), Isabella (c1875) and brothers James (c1886, John (c1884) and John George (c1879). I know that Catherine married into the McDonald family and had twins Adam and Evelyn (1926), John (1916) and Catherine (1920). Harriet married twice first to a Jobling then Clark and had two sons to Clark - John and Tony. Tony was an entertainer who appeared at the Sunderland Empire Theatre. They were all based in Sunderland. If anyone has any information on any of them I would be glad to hear about it. |
