Well before I became a member on here I started to do my tree and often thought about how I would feel to find my rellies who emigrated to Australia in the 1950's. I actually found one Aunt and Uncles offspring from a message on Ancestry message board, left there 2 years previously... but the e.mail addy was still the same and we are meeting for the first time when they come to England in August and I will be going there in October. I have since been trying to find the second Aunt and Uncles children, all now in their 60's, hoping that we can have a great reunion when I go there. Today, two of our Ausie members have tracked down one of the sons, my cousin, and although he was said to be stunned at the info they gave him, he was very much wanting to hear from me. I have mailed the other rellies in Australia and they will now get in touch with him, so we can get together at last, after 50 years apart. Thankyou GR and members... without you all this would not have been possible. Anne :))) |
