I just wanted to share with everyone my biggest success so far. My grandfather on my fathers side died over 40 years ago, and my dad never knew what happened to his ashes after his cremation. Well, after a few phone calls to various cemeteries departments - who are very helpful by the way, and a little luck, I found their resting place yesterday - in the cemetery up the road from my house on the grave of his father and grandparents. I feel great about this, not only for the amount of missing information I was able to obtain for my tree, but most importantly for solving the mystery for my dad, and giving him back his father (in a round about sort of way) |
