er, hello , Im not generally one for hero worship, but this place has floored me! Ive dabbled on the internet to look for m y fammily name every so often, But then i found this link and laughed my a**e off at the name of it! So I entered my odd family name, late of an evening. The next day I had an email from someone querying my grandparents names, it was from Sandra (hi sandra!) I only knew them by pet names, ronnie and peggie. mine wasnt a close family, I live alone and knew nothign about anyone at all. Sandra sent me a family tree back to 16 hundreds, and her family branch fotos - that look like my dad, my grandad, and me - she even knew when my parents were born and married. I didnt :( I was speechless Last night I visited my fathers sister for th efirst tiem in over 30 years, I have a photo of my grandaprents to scan ,and, apparently, I have a huge immediate family! - thats without Sandra, who is some form of cousin! :) and all her family. Today I visit more, again not seen for 30 odd years. I didnt even join, I simply thought 'yeah , right!, another internet scam'..well, Ive been humbled and will probabaly be joining up in a while....I want to trace the other half of my family now! To all you people out there , good luck, to the bods who maintain this site- THANKS!, the internet for good purpose..YES!, and finally tto Sandra, for all your hard work over the years, and for contacting me, what can I say>? I am so deeply indebted and humbled, thank you. Memebr os my family who havewnt spoken for GENERATIONS! now have a reason to and will be meeting up in a while. I know this is long, but I cnat believe the impact this has had. and with that , Im off, to visit people, er, family! :) Bye!
