I just want to say a big 'thank you' to GR. My parents split up when I was a few months old & I never saw my father after that. I moved to Australia with my Mother & Step Father when I was 15 & got on with life, but I always wondered about my 'other family'. My Mother would not give me any information regarding my father & I had no idea where to start looking as my birth surname was very common & I had nothing else to go on. I didn't even see a photo of by biological father until I was 30yrs old & that was fate as it came about at a very strange time in my life, but in early May through GR I actually found my father. I live in Australia now & he is still in the UK but I hope to see him one day. I am an only child on my mothers side, but I now have 6 step brothers & 1 step sister plus neices, nephews & great nephews. My father has gone from having 3 grandchildren to 7 overnight as I have 4 children of my own. I had my last child in November '04 & when I spoke to my father he told he is 70 this year & when his birthday is & you would never believe it but it is the same day as my youngest son! So, I would just like to say - even if you think you will never find someone as you have very little information, don't give up! I had a rough idea of my father's year of birth & his first & middle name & that was it, but I found him. Now my life is full, the last pieces of the puzzle have been found & I feel like a different person. Thank you once again GR from a very grateful Aussie Sheila!
