Oh my word!!! having come back to family tree research after a longish gap, I'm astonished! All those years ago when i trecked literally miles and miles in snow rain hail and bad temper... into offices, out of offices, only to often realise I was trailing another red herring. Then one active week on GU - I joined before but couldn't get to it for a while - and suddenly I've gained 3 genrations in one email from a generous lovely man! Another contact turned out to be a relative who added loads more 'sideways' stuff. it's well worth trawling through the 'search' option on all of the names in your tree! Twenty may not be 'yours' but one might and BINGO! What an exceptional site... I'm staying! thanks so much everyone. Christine. PS I have to add this as I'm still awed by it. Viewed my 25th tree tonight of other members with shared names. Got into a tree which has so many people in it, I had to click the sideways button SEVENTEEN TIMES! It took almost an hour and I STILL didn't find the shared name! 17 side-ways clicks onto 'more tree available' - is this a record?
