I put my family tree on Genes Reunited and added my husbands name and a month ago i had an e-mail asking if my husband Ian Duncan was the cousin of the lady sending the e-mail, it turned out it was and my husband has now made contact with cousins in Australia he never knew he had, his father died when he was 9 months old and his mother lost contact with all his fathers relatives so knew nothing about his fathers side of the family, he has now made with contact with 7 cousins all with children and also one of his cousins dad is still alive and this man turns out to be not only his dads brother-in-law but also his best friend when they were children living in Aberdeen, hence e-mails backwards and forwards to Australia and also phone calls, at least he can now find information regarding his father and family which we are very happy about.Jackie Winsper |
