Genes reunited is amazing. I left a message on the trying to find board for the Britton family. From that message things have now gone full steam ahead. One of my long lost cousins Clive contacted me after reading the information I left, Clive is My Uncle Jim on paternal side of the family's son. Unfortunately my Uncle Jim died in the late 70's and I never met him, but i know how proud he would be that his family are finding eachother again. My Father Peter was 1 of 8 boys born to Alice and George Britton. My Grandmother Alice lost her fight against breast cancer in the early 1940's and my grandfather gave the boys up. They were all seperated, the youngest Michael was taken to Australia by Barnardo's where he has lived ever since. My grandfather went on to remarry and had two more boys Beau and Paul who none of the brothers ever managed to find. Well success my Cousin Clive's Sister has managed to find my Uncle Paul and they are meeting up soon. There are now only 4 of the 8 brothers left and finding some of our family is wonderful and has meant a lot to my father who is now in his late 60's. Thanks Genes Reunited we would never have found eachother without this website. Amanda x |
