Success Stories

Back in October 2004 thanks to genes I found my birth mother and a full sister I knew nothing about. I posted my story then, it only took two days to find them thanks to genes. Ten days after I found them I flew to England to meet them and posted an update on my return in early December 2004. Since that time we have kept in touch almost daily through MSN messenger. Incredibly my sister and I have become as close in these few short months as we probably would have been if we had grown up together. My Mother is so happy to have me back and to know that she has two more grandchildren and three more great grandsons whom she is hoping to meet in the next twelve months. She will be 90 years young next month but doesn't look or act a day over seventy. My sister and brother-in-law are flying out to Australia at the end of April to meet their Australian family. My story has had the happiest of endings and I realise that I am one of the very luckiest people, not all reunions even happen let alone turn out so perfectly. There was always something missing in my life until I found my family and it is amazing the difference it has made to my life, I have never been so happy and have found a new confidence that all my friends have commented on. So once again,. thank you genes reunited for being my fairy godmother and waving your magic wand and creating such a happy ending to my ultimate fairytale. May you continue to bring joy into peoples lives.
