Like so many people in this world my mother was sent for adotion in 1935. Apart from her mothers name which is listed on her birth certificate and place of birth we knew nothing else. Finally all has been made clear. After 70 years i have found my mothers two sisters, and they are still alive! by the way so is my mother. Many many cousins etc. Mother is please as she always wanted to know she was not just dumped as a child becuase she was not loved. Her mother had died and all her siblings went off to work in service or were placed else where. Thank you GR if it had not been for this site then none of this would have been possible. I see below many stories running along the same theme and i am sure there will be many many more added after this one. It is a wierd feeling finding a family, emotions you experiance are not what you would expect. Good luck to all who are in search of lost loved ones. If you do not suceed then keep trying. Put as much information on this site as you can. Some day someone will latch on to one of your names and that is all it takes. Nick Chapman |
