Hi, Thank you, I live in Australia and today is Australia Day and it has been the best. Jane contacted me after seeing my TRYING TO FIND on Michael Sydney Gordon BROOKE. He is her father. She gave me her phone number and I thought that has to be in our general area. Today Jane rang me and came over with her family. They live a mere 15 minutes away. I have been trying to find out what had happened to Mums cousins after their parents died and authorities decided my mum's Mum had too many children to look after and took them away to a home. My grandmother was heartbroken and the authorities would not tell her where they went. She couldn't even visit. My mother is in her 70's and still remembers that day, she was only 6. I have been searching for 9 years now. Today the gaps have been filled, Jane has gone home armed with a pile of certififcates etc, as she knew very little apart from her Father. It was the best day, so exciting and my grown up kids are thrilled they have found new cousins. Our Christmas dinner table has grown now. I have no doubt. Jane and I both only have our immediate family here. All I can say is wow! thank you! awesome! Lynda (Queensland) |
