I had been trying to find my biological family through the social services for 8 months, when i finally decided that i would try genes reunited. Within 15 mins of posting a msg on the msg board regarding my situation, someone emailed me giving me thier home add which had been retrieved from the electoral role. 12 days after that, i had been constantly trying to get their telephone number, but unfortunately is ws exdirectory. Therefore, i decided to come back to genes reunited and a member called Harry Thompson tried to get their telephone number using the add that i provided. He emailed me back saying he ws unable to trace it, however he had managed to find their next door neighbours. It was a long shot but i decided to phone them and ask if they would give me their neighbours number. Luckily, they did. An hour later i then phoned and spoke to my biological grand parents - it ws very overwhelming and awkward at first but completely with it. I now know where i came from and for the first time in my life i feel complete. i would like to stress a point to anyone in a similar situation that anything is possible and all u need is patience and determination to do it. thank you to the team at genes reunited and everyone who made it possible x
