Janet Davies' success story

I was born JANET MAY CHESTER 31.5. 1942 This is a success story. I joined Genes Reunited only a day ago, and posted a message because I saw where there was someone searching of the ancestors of my grandfather. After only a day my contact and I have found together a live member of our CHESTER family. I suspect that might have been as much of a pleasant surprise to them as it was to me; hopefully pleasant. My parents were divorced during WW2 when I was just 3 yrs old - there must be many such as we, so it is as well for people to bear in mind that when war broke out - as my Mother told me people rushed to get married before they were separated by conflict and then may have been separated either by death of by eventual divorce; many children born during the war never knew who their father was and then suddenly a male appeared in the household commanding the affections of their Mother who had devoted all her affections to them beforehand It was comforting for me to find someone of my paternal line with whom I am related and through being able to search census and LDS records I can and have progressed it further. I hope this has been interesting. Janet
