My sister and I had been trying to find details of my nan's birth. We knew who her parents were but could not find anything. could not find her on 1901 census. Then a contact was made concerning her mother. We have now solved the mystery. She was on the 1901 census under her grandmothers name. All thanks to Harry who had traced the family tree back to 1500's, but couldnt get any further on my gt grandmothers details. Not only have we solved the mystery but have found out alot about our ancestors thanks to Harry. similarities in the family pictures that have been swopped and hair colouring explain a lot. there may be another chapter, we have now had another contact from a different person. so watch this space. Thanks Genes connected for inventing this great resource. p.s my nan was a Blandford, but it is the Mayne family we have traced. Seems my other contact is related as well. a whole new chapter is beginning.
