Success Stories

Its great to read all the success stories on this board. I had a bit of success myself finding long lost relations. On the trying to find board, there was a message from someone looking for relative's of her Fathers. I couldn't believe it, they were my Grandmothers nephews. Although i hadn't seen them for many years, I did think about where they were. Contacted her and we exchanged a few messages. After a few weeks and no contact, I got her Uncles phone number from Dir Enq. Phoned him and had a chat. He gave me his brothers number and took mine. Still no contact. Last night I phoned again. Not in. This morning had a phone call from his partner, to be told in no uncertain terms, that he wasn't interested in speaking to me or the family tree. I can only assume he has stopped his daughter continuing. I also spoke to my cousin, trying to find info about our gggrandad if he had any. His reply was no, and he isn't interested, as their all dead anyway!!!!!!! So I say to you all, who have had very positive responses from your contacts, WELL DONE. I shall just continue doing my direct line and forget all the rest. Ann of the defunct family.
