Phillip Report 7 Sep 2004 01:06

I have been researching my husband's family (skiller). He was born in 1940 to Elsie Laura Skiller and, we understand, privately adopted. With the help of Gill Whitley I found that his mother had married a Canadian, Clifford Bacon, in 1944, and had a son, also Clifford, in 1944. As advised I searched the Canada411 website and found only one Clifford Bacon. I then wrote to him and explained the search, and asked if he could, in fact, be the same Clifford Bacon. Three weeks ago we had a telephone call from a Sylvia Mathews (nee Skiller) who turns out to be my husband's true Sister. She knew of his existance but he had no idea of hers. He also has two half-brothers, two nephews and two nieces. We have also found that there are many more relatives in this country. We are off to Canada in three weeks to meet his new family.
