Hello Due to my research of the Monksfield family which I began in 1997 by writing to everyone in the Burke's Peerage Book of Monksfields of which I have a copy (about 112 people in all) I discovered that my paternal grandfather, Joseph James Monksfield had a brother, William George Monksfield who I never knew existed. Through this connection I discovered many more Monksfields including three 2nd cousins. These are Olive Reed (nee Monksfield) of Thetford, Joan Dent (nee Monksfield) of Middlesex and Raymond Monksfield of Hitchin, Hertfordshire. As my father William Victor Monksfield of Chingford died suddenly in 1958 this new information was a great find. My mother had always told me there were no relatives left on my father's side of the family. She couldn't have been more wrong! Regards Patricia Elaine Monksfield. |
