my dad had 2 sons from his first marriage that i knew briefly that they existed, but knew nothing else, just that they were older. i tried friends reunited and left a message on the message boards, but heard nothing. but on 29th feb this year i had an urge to just check if there was anything i had missed and i saw genes connected and thought i would try it first to see if anyone was doing my dads tree as he had split up with my mum before i was born and then had died in 1987. i put in my dads name and it came up straight away which shocked me, so i checked who i had to contact and looked them up too and i put it all together and came up with that must be my brother, so i sent an email! he finally got it on the weds night, and he was shocked too as he only heard about me a year before. we spoke on thursday and met on sunday. so when you are searching use everything you can, and dont give up, because the results are just amazing!!! good luck to you all. sam xx |
