Linda McDowell On Friday evening my sister in Australia telephoned me with a partial address she had come accross for a cousin in America, on Saturday morning I posted a message for help two Gc members replied with the full address which was marvellous so thanks to Crista and Carol. Carol kindly e mailed me as she lived 5 mins away from this address and offered to look up in the telephone directory or even knock on the door, I sent her the details back and by evening I knew my relative still lived at the same address and now have the telephone number! So in the space of 24 hours via Australia, Wales and America another vital piece of the jigsaw UPDATE Tonight my cousin telephoned me had a lovely chat and best of all another of my cousins has been doing research and has a lot of documents and photos to share with me and my branch is the one he had missing and he lives in England!! . Many many thanks Gc for this brilliant site but especially all the wonderful members who give their time so generously. Linda |
