For 18 years, I have been trying to find my daughter, Melanie Fahey, nee Brewster, living in York, with no success whatsoever. I then found this seek function and posted a message. Within 24 hours I was contacted by a member, who I only "know" as Phillip. He gave me a list of about a dozen "possibles", but again, no joy. This gentleman then really got busy for me. Emails flashed between him in Kent, and my home in Germany. Through searches in Friends United for various relatives, names were found. Widening the front, we found my ex-wife, only to discover that she no longer lived at the address we had found. Then came the big break, a name was found on the net that I was positive could only be that of my daughters cousin. Mails flashed to Cleethorpes. Inside 48 hours came the reply with a contact Telephone number for my daughter, and inside 15 minutes, we were talking together on the phone. Result, Thursday night coming, will find me on the Ferry from Rotterdam to Hull, on my way to greet my daughter, and to meet my four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Thank you, Friends United, and to "Phillip" in Kent, without your help, I would still be searching, Thanks pal, God Bless you for your kindness and efforts on my behalf. Nigel Brewster |
