Our success story does not come because of GC but I thought I would share it all the same. Just to show and give hope to all of you out there who are looking for a loved one. Our Uncle had mention a niece who he had not heard of for over 40 years she was only 16 when her mother died, his sister. I had started our family tree but I didn't know where to go or what to do. Then this year I though I would try to find her. I did a search on 1837(.)com and found her marriage in 1965. Then I asked a friend to check the 1998 Electoral roll which he had on CD. He found them so I phone but they had moved 3 years before. Next he checked the later one for me as he had some credits left so this time I wrote to her. You can imagine our surprise when she emailed me, she was so happy to have found her family. She only knew one Aunt & Uncle but did not have an address so that was the reason she lost touch. She & her husband had been in NZ for 25 years and have two daughters. She has now met her cousins and we hope never to lose touch again. Uncle never though he would see his neice again and is so happy. So to all of you out there that give help thanks you help make this world a happier place. Irene |
