Greetings from New Zealand. With regard to an old post in 2004, I am very pleased to advise that I am one the grandsons of Walter John MENZIES. Walter remarried in 1936 and had another two children, the eldest being my father.

My grandparents, and their two children emigrated to New Zealand in 1952, so Phoenix, your suggestion was very close to the truth.

This Menzies family in New Zealand is well recorded and I can now add the descendants of my grandfathers first marriage to our family tree. I have been in touch with my "new" aunt, that for almost thirty years thought I would ever find. Sandra and I have a mutual cousin, who googled my grandfathers full name within quotation marks and found the Genes Reunited message and postings looking for my grandfather. He forwarded the details to me and contact was quickly made.

This contact culminated in a recent visit in August 2011 where I was able to introduce via a prerecorded video message from my father and aunty to their "new" sister. I duly recorded my new aunts greetings to her new family and have had great pleasure in introducing her to her family in New Zealand.
