To Helier Waite, who is only distantly related to me on his wife's side.
He spent last Friday at the Edinburgh GRO to tackle my Great grandfather James Wilson brickwall. After viewing 1500 images he found James and all his family and grandparents in Glasgow to move me onwards.
This man is a complete stranger to me and has nothing to gain in his own research for this work.
My faith in human kindness is restored. I can offer nothing in return but hope that 'what comes around goes around'.
I feared that this family would be a mystery for ever,
