Operation Chariot

Thanks to Genes Re united I found that I had an uncle , Albert Edward Lucy who was killed in Operation Chariot in 1942.I visited his grave in Le Baule near St Nazaire this month.It was very emotional as my late mother Rose had never spoken about her brave brother.I also had a new niece born on the same day and the inscription on the gravestone,
Gone but not forgotten,never will thy memory fade,
could not have been more appropriate.
