A few weeks ago I posted a message on the "Trying to Find" board regarding 2 ancestors (Ethel Violet Lingwood & Albert Mizon) who emigrated to Canada in the early 1900s. The query was purely out of interest, to see if I could fit another piece of the jigsaw puzzle into place so to speak.

Some GR members (you know who you are!) kindly steered me in the right direction. I followed their lead and found myself looking on a Canadian funeral website where an obituary had been posted for one of the daughters of the couple I was researching. I decided to post a message of condolence and left my email address. As the lady in question had died in 2008, I didn't expect anything to come of it. BUT...lo and behold I have in the last two days received several emails from other family members in Canada who wanted to know more about their English family. I have now established email contact with them and they kindly sent photograph attachments as well. I too have been able to forward photographs in order to share information about Ethel & Albert's English family.

I cannot thank you enough for all the assistance I have received on this site. As a word of encouragement to everyone else .....it is possible to find that needle in a haystack - even if the haystack is made of Canadian wheat!
