my father was placed in the Thomas coram school in 1941 after his mother could not afford to keep him, she tried for 9 months but it was to much, his name was changed and he was fostered out. he tried several times to trace his mother and it was not until i had access to the internet that i began to trace his roots. we discovered his mother passed away in 1993 but i could not find anyone that was related to her until feb 2009. it was then i found joan, his cousin, she was researching the family for her mother and they are both in australia. they have been able to fill in the last 69 years for my dad, provide pictures of his mum and extended family. in additon on new years eve 2005 i found my half brother that i have been looking for for the last 14 years... all thanks to this site |
