My moms dad left the family when she was about 2 years old so she never knew him. She met him once when she was 14 and he was living in Cheltenham, but he did not really want to know. I set about researching the family tree on GR and thought that after my moms dad left my gran he must have re-married. After many dead ends I found out that he did re-marry in Cheltenham and had one daughter. I am pleased to have found a new half sister for my mom. I have spoken on the phone to my new aunty and I have also spoken to her daughter my new cousin. We are planning to get together and meet some time before Christmas. So thank you to GR. |
