Thanks to GR I have found members of the family that I knew nothing about. I e.mailed someone on Genes and asked what connection she had to Reuben Morris as he was my great-grandfather, I got a message back to say that he was her great-grandfather too! I was totally amazed as there had never been a whisper from my grandmother about her half-siblings. Apparently when my great-grandmother died in 1900 my g.grandfather met another lady and lodged with her and her husband for a while, they then set up home together, along with his three children, and had five children together. We have exchanged photographs of g.grandfather and he is definitely the same person. Apparently the other half of the family knew about my grandmother and her siblings but we had been told nothing about them. Very strange! My new relatives have been to visit us and we are in contact by phone. There is a whole family out there though that we have yet to meet as Reuben had a lot of siblings, I have been told that there are hundreds of descendants!
So thank you to Genes for giving me a family that I never knew I had.
