When looking to find your lost family, my advice is to never stop trying. I'm adopted, and my searching began in the early 1980's but soon came to a dead end. I'd let it rest for many years, then 18 months ago I joined Genes Reunited. Within days I had matches on many family trees. Since then I've been emailing and having telephone conversations with relatives I never thought I'd ever find. In 2 weeks time we are having a massive family gathering and I'll be meeting my blood relatives, face to face, for the first time in my life. It goes to prove, you must never give up hope! |
