This is both a success story and a warning to you all.

First, keep on checking back to see if anyone's contacted you. I contacted one of my aunt's grandchildren over a year ago and heard nothing back.

A year and a half later, but tragically shortly after my aunt had passed, I've been contacted by another of her grandchildren. We've been in regular contact, exchanged emails - maybe we'll even meet: everyone is still reeling from discovering cousins that we weren't even aware existed.
