3 months ago i found i was adopted by my father. I am 41 years old now , and have always known, something was missing in my life. I found out my real name is Melody Joy Smith. Since finding out , this news, began a quest too search for my birth father, Dennis Smith.Thats when i found this websight,GR.
After afew days searching this sight, i came across a letter posted by my father Dennis 3 years ago. He wrote asking people if anyone knew of my where about. He has been searching for me all my life.
I began the search for him, does anybody know how many Dennis Smiths are out there? LOTS. I was never giving up my search for him , ever.
Last night after months of looking for him i found him, But unfortunatly he is not well and in hospital. So i rang the hospital too see if he was my father we had been looking for. The nurse told me i cant speak too him due too him not feeling well. I asked her if she could tell my father that im on the phone and would like too speak too him. Ok! she said. Momments later she came back on the phone and told me he started crying when she told him i was on the phone, and asked for me too ring him on his mobile. I did and he is my father, after many tears ,we tryed too compose ourselves , so we could talk. I told him he has 2 wonderful grandchildren, and the sad news that i live in Australia, thousands of miles away. He is hoping too get out in the next few days, so we can talk some more.
I want too thank everyone who has helped me and my father too finaly be reunited after 41 years, the word thankyou does not seem enough, for what you have all done for us. You have brought a daughter, father and grandchildren together , for the first time. I will hopefully get too meet him soon, as we have alot of catching up too do, in his final years of life,
England here come.
