I knew for a long time I had a halfsister from my Dad's first marriage. Dad died in 2004 and I had been trying to find my halfsister since, without even a Christian name to go on.
I trawled the Friends Reunited & Genes Reunited sites plus birth records over & over again. I eventually came up with the birth certificate of the right person and put it out on the Genes Reunited board on 29th June this year.
I had a really good response and a lot of lovely people helping me and giving me info & advice.
I was given an address by one of the GR members, so wrote & posted a letter at the weekend. TODAY I had a phone call from my halfsister who was as pleased as me that I had found her.
Every GR member is brilliant with a lot of handy tips & advice. I can't thank them enough. And I wish all of you success in your searches.
Thanks to you all
